About Pectoral implants
Pectoral implants are designed for males who want to enhance the shape of their upper chest and build mass. Many men lack the ability to build true weight in their pectoral muscles, or lack the schedule that allows them to dedicate themselves to that level of fitness. Pectoral implants are a great solution that allows men to show off a masculine figure no matter their size or shape. This surgery is common for patients with a congenital deformity such as poland’s syndrome.
Pectoral implants are soft but solid silicone implants that come in different shapes to mimic the pectoral muscle. The aim of this procedure is to give you the most natural-looking results, making your friends and family wonder how you managed to sculpt your chest in such a short period of time.
During your first consultation with Mr Ritz, he will fill you in on all of the details of the pectoral implant procedure, addressing your concerns, listening to your goals and helping you decide how you would like your chest to look. He will let you know of any complications you may be facing with your surgery, no matter how minor, as any time you opt for a surgical procedure you are at risk for certain difficulties.
Depending on your overall health, medical history and objectives for pectoral implants, you and Mr Ritz will decide whether you are a proper candidate for surgery. You will also schedule a consultation for two weeks prior to your surgery to further discuss details and logistics and to address any concerns you might have before your procedure.
During the Surgery
When you arrive at the hospital, you will meet Mr Ritz and an anaesthetist to prepare you for surgery. Once the procedure has begun, incisions will be made in the axilla, or the outer edges of your pectorals, near the armpit. Implants will be placed underneath the pectoral muscle, so that all results will look and feel natural. The implant is merely a tool for enhancement and shaping, but will not overpower the masculine shape of your own muscles.
This procedure is performed usually as day surgery, and you will be able to return home with a friend or family member.
Following surgery, you will be required to wear a compression garment for 6 weeks. This garment will ensure that your shape stays intact as you heal and help to reduce the pain and complications that may come with too much movement or exposure of the operated area.
During your follow-up appointments, Mr Ritz will be able to assess your progress, amend your care instructions and help you with any pain or troubles you might be experiencing. Typically, pectoral implant recovery is fairly simple and speedy, and you will be back to your regular routine in what feels like no time.
If you follow your instructions for post-operative care as Mr Ritz directs, you will surely have great results and a speedy recovery. If you rush your recovery or move too quickly into strenuous activity, you risk unsatisfactory results or severe injury.
After your procedure, you will notice difficulty lifting your arms for at least one week. As that pain and discomfort begins to subside and your swelling goes down, you will begin to see results. Allow yourself ample recovery and avoid exercise and strenuous activity for 2-4 weeks. A specific timeline will be given to you by Mr Ritz based on how quickly you recover. Once you are healed (typically one month), you can begin your regular exercise routine, including pectoral muscle building.
Benefits of Pectoral Implants
Pectoral implants give men confidence in a more masculine figure. Plastic surgery is not only beneficial for women! Some of the advantages our patients have experienced from pectoral implants include:
- Heightened confidence: with a more masculine figure typically comes greater confidence for men. Wearing oversized clothing, avoiding the beach or pool during the summer and being dissatisfied with the way you look is the sad reality of living with societal expectations of body image. When you can step out with a toned chest, you will be proud to show it off.
- Skip the gym: no, we do not mean you should let your health decline just because you have pectoral implants. However, we know how hard it is for men and women who work full time to dedicate themselves to fitness. With models on social media flaunting six-pack abs that they work all day to accomplish, it is hard to compete. Now, you can have the body of your dreams without spending all of your free time in the gym. Stick to your regular routine and enjoy your new look!
